How 212 Group LLC handles data in the FullGrab extension and on this website.

Summary

FullGrab is a screenshot, recording and export tool that runs inside your browser. Screenshots, recordings, annotations, OCR text and your capture history are created and stored on your own device. We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not collect your browsing history.

Who is responsible for your data

FullGrab is operated by 212 Group LLC, a Delaware limited liability company. For the personal data described in this notice, 212 Group LLC is the data controller: we decide what is collected and why. You can reach us at jeffrey_dotzler@hotmail.com.

Where we buy or sell through our reseller, Paddle.com acts as Merchant of Record and as a controller for the order and payment data it collects at checkout, under its own privacy notice.

Data stored on your device

The following stays local to your browser and is never uploaded unless you explicitly choose an action that sends it:

  • Captured images, screen recordings and their thumbnails.
  • Capture metadata such as page title, page URL and timestamp, used to label your history entries.
  • Extracted text from OCR, page text, tables and links.
  • Your settings, including format, quality, filename pattern and pinned-panel preference.
  • A local count of daily exports, used to apply the free daily limit.

You can delete any capture, or clear the whole history, from the History tab at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes this local data.

Data sent to our servers

Some optional features require our backend at fullgrab.lovable.app. They only run when you use them:

  • Account and subscription: your email address, an account identifier and your subscription status, so we can verify Pro access and process upgrades.
  • Payments: our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, which is the Merchant of Record for all orders and handles payments, invoicing, tax and billing support. We never receive or store your full card details.
  • AI summary: the specific capture you select is sent to our AI provider to generate the summary, and is not used to train models. The image is not retained after the summary is produced.
  • Cloud backup (optional, Pro): captures you choose to back up are uploaded to your private, access-controlled storage area and are readable only by your account.
  • Share links (optional): a capture you explicitly share is uploaded and given an unguessable link so the people you send it to can view it. Delete the share to revoke access.
  • Service logs: limited technical data such as IP address, timestamps and error details, generated when your browser talks to our backend, used to keep the service secure and to debug failures.

If you never sign in, never share and never back up, the extension does not send your capture content anywhere.

Why we use each category, and our legal basis

  • Email address and account identifier — to create and secure your account and to sign you in. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
  • Subscription status, plan and billing period — to unlock Pro features and to keep your plan accurate. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Captures you choose to back up or share — to store or serve exactly what you asked us to. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Captures or text you submit to an AI feature — to produce the summary you requested. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
  • Support messages you send us — to answer you. Legal basis: performance of our contract and our legitimate interest in supporting customers.
  • Service logs, export counts and abuse signals — to keep FullGrab available, enforce free-tier limits and prevent fraud and abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests.
  • Records we must keep for tax or accounting — legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

Where we ever rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that already happened.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share only what is needed, with these categories of recipients:

  • Hosting, database and storage providers that run our backend and store your backups and shares.
  • Our AI provider, which processes the specific content you submit to an AI feature in order to return a result.
  • Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of FullGrab Pro, subscription management, payments, invoicing and tax compliance.
  • Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
  • Government authorities or law enforcement, where we are legally required to disclose.
  • A successor entity, if FullGrab is ever merged, acquired or sold, subject to this notice.

Our providers act on our instructions under contract and may not use your data for their own purposes.

International transfers

We are based in the United States and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data is transferred out of the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK/EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

What we never do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data.
  • We do not transfer your data to third parties for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
  • We do not use your data for advertising, credit assessment or lending.
  • We do not track the pages you visit or build a browsing profile.

Chrome permissions and why they are needed

  • activeTab, tabs, scripting, host access: read the page you are capturing so the screenshot, full-page stitching, element picking and text/link extraction can run.
  • tabCapture, offscreen: record a tab's video and audio, and keep the recording alive while the popup is closed.
  • storage, unlimitedStorage: save your captures, history and settings locally.
  • downloads: save your exports (PNG, JPG, PDF, MP4, TXT) to your computer.
  • clipboardWrite: copy a capture or extracted text when you click Copy.
  • contextMenus: provide right-click capture shortcuts.
  • sidePanel: show FullGrab as a pinned side panel when you enable that option.
  • alarms: retry queued cloud uploads and reset your daily export count.

Cookies and similar technologies

The FullGrab website uses only essential storage: a sign-in token that keeps you logged in, and local storage the extension needs to work. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can clear this storage in your browser settings at any time, which signs you out.

Data retention and deletion

Local data lives on your device until you delete it or uninstall the extension. Server-side data is kept only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for:

  • Account and subscription records: for as long as your account exists, then deleted, except records we must keep for tax and accounting (typically up to seven years).
  • Cloud backups and share links: until you delete them, or until your account is deleted.
  • AI submissions: not retained after the result is produced.
  • Service logs: a short rolling period for security and debugging, then deleted or anonymised.

To delete your account and all server-side data, contact us at the address below and we will remove it.

Your rights

Subject to the law where you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or provide it in a portable format, and you can withdraw consent where we relied on it. Email jeffrey_dotzler@hotmail.com and we will respond within one month.

If you are in the UK or EEA and are unhappy with our response, you can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority. California residents may exercise equivalent rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for doing so — note that we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for stored files, row-level access controls so backups and shares are readable only by their owner, and least-privilege access to our systems. No system is perfectly secure, so we also design FullGrab to keep as much as possible on your own device.

Children

FullGrab is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Continued use of the extension after an update means you accept the revised policy.
